PRINS AT THE 4th REMEMBRANCE DAY OF THE AHR FLOOD

Noticias, Novedades

Researching, designing, and innovating are processes that always start with emotions and end with rigor. Frustration and sorrow created an emotional attachment with our German colleagues shortly after the DANA, when they came to Valencia to offer their experience after the floods. The starting emotions remained unchanged in July, when we participated in the 4th Remembrance Day Ahr Flood held in Germany.

However, those days paved the way for the beginning of an international collaboration with companies, associations, universities (UPV, TH Köln, Koblenz), research centers, and consulting firms that will push us to reach the necessary rigor to face natural disasters with more guarantees and a non-negotiable objective: avoiding casualties.

Prevention, risk management, organizational innovation, social awareness, and identification of the signs of climate change will be the keys to implementing the necessary structural and non-structural measures and building urban resilience. PRINS is proud to be part of this amazing journey and ready to contribute in any way it can.

Thanks to Eveline Lemke, Stephan Müellers, Jutta Bruns, and all the organizers — and happy summer!
